| The non-profit Österreichische Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Telemedizin [OEWGTM] aims at promoting cooperation between natural persons and legal entities interested in common activities in the field of telemedicine.
Objectives:
- Exchange of experience in the fields of medicine, telematics, IT, legal sciences, health economy and similar areas
- Cooperation in and consultation for education and research, as well as the coordination of the multiple tasks in the area of telemedicine
- Promotion of research and development regarding the employment of telemedical facilities which especially consider the geographic and social conditions in Austria
- Promotion of scientific junior staff by deepening and expanding their scientific knowledge
- Acting on behalf of the Society's aims vis-à-vis official institutions
