There is growing empirical evidence that physicians worldwide can play a major role in the management of addiction, and that the field of Addiction Medicine is becoming an essential medical speciality.

Objectives:

• Advancement of Addiction seen as a treatable disease
• Recognition that physicians worldwide have a major role to play in its management
• Enhancement of the credibility of the physician's role
• Emphasis of the importance of educational activities
• Establishment of consensus documents and practice guidelines

The purpose of the International Society on Biotelemetry [ISOB] is to encourage the effective use of telemetry by promoting the exchange of information between people in related fields.

The official publication of ISCP is the International Journal of Comparative Psychology [IJCP].

The purpose of ISCAR is to promote and develop multidisciplinary theoretical and empirical research on societal, cultural and historical dimensions of human practices.

• Promote and encourage research on the development of behavior in all organisms, including humans, with special attention to the effects of biological factors operating at any level of organization. Such research may involve both descriptive and experimental methods and may be undertaken under either natural or controlled conditions.
• Facilitate communication of research results and theory in the area of Developmental Psychobiology through the use of both professional and popular printed media and through the presentation of papers at the annual meeting of the Society.
• Foster application of the valid findings of research to human affairs in a way beneficial to mankind.

The official publication of ISDP is Developmental Psychobiology.

The mission of ISEPP is to advance existential psychology and therapy as one of the major forces within mainstream psychology.

Objectives:

• Promote the development of human sciences and the study of human experiences
• Provide a forum, through its journals and conferences, for the exchange and cross-fertilization or ideas
• Facilitate international cooperation and synergism
• Improve the human condition through the application of existential psychology and therapy
• Serve as an umbrella organization for the larger existential community

The broad umbrella will encompass humanistic-existential psychology, existential-phenomenological psychology, logotherapy and existential analysis, integrative meaning-centred counselling, and various forms of narrative, social constructionist psychology and therapy.

The official publication of the ISEPP is the International Journal for Existential Psychology and Psychotherapy [IJEPP].

Objectives:

• Promote cultural and scientific, international exchanges between researchers and engineers of all disciplines, designers and architects, related industries, organizations and professionals in the field of comfort, welfare and health for the ageing and aged
• Encourage the creation of international research networks as well as international experiments of applied nature, in order to reinforce, by a wider dissemination of information, international potentialities in gerontechnology and to participate in their assessment to contribute to the promotion of international programmes in gerontechnology
• Encourage the creation of research networks as well as networks of professionals, in order to reinforce, by a wider dissemination the participation in specific educational training courses, for engineers, vocational professionals, as well as for administrators and industrial management
• Cooperate closely with all similar international organizations and with all national bodies, governmental and non-governmental, concerned with gerontechnology

The aims of the Society are to further the science of neuropathology by:

• Initiating and maintaining permanent co-operation between national and regional societies of neuropathology

• Fostering and maintaining links with other international organisations in the field of neurological sciences and in the various appropriate branches of neuropathology
• Initiation of international congresses, meetings, colloquia, symposia and research projects in the field of neuropathology
• Encouraging the exchange of information and the publication of matters relevant to the science of neuropathology in its official journal and other publications
• Encouraging the exchange of persons engaged in neuropathology as between one country and another with special reference to those undergoing training
