About The International Society for Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology [ISAPP] is an organization composed of mental health professionals - psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers - working with troubled adolescents in several parts of the world. The organization was established in 1984 as a non-profit international professional society to fill a void in the mental health arena. It is the only psychiatric institution at the international level to be exclusively devoted to the mental health of adolescents. Modelled on an American precursor, the American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry [ASAP], it seeks to provide a forum for intellectual exchange among professionals concerned with troubled adolescents.

About The International Society for Affective Disorders [ISAD] exists to promote research into the affective disorders through all relevant scientific disciplines, including genetics, neuroscience and the social and behavioural sciences. Inter-disciplinary research approaches are particularly highly valued by the society. Although the affective disorders are not a clearly delineated group of illnesses they include unipolar and bipolar depression, generalised anxiety disorder, and more specific anxiety disorders such as agoraphobia, panic disorder and social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post traumatic stress disorder [PTSD]. There is a high level of similarity and co-morbidity between these illnesses and it is sensible to consider them as a single group.

The official publication of ISAD is the Journal of Affective Disorders.

About The purposes of the International Society for Developmental Psychobiology [ISDP] are:

About Founded in 1972, the International Society for Human Ethology [ISHE] aims at promoting ethological perspectives in the scientific study of humans worldwide.
