| The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Biologische Psychiatrie [DGBP] was founded in 1979. The DGBP aims to support and promote colleagues engaged in the field of Biological Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurobiology, in their scientific, educational and clinical work and to further the spread of information on current topics (issues) of Biological Psychiatry.
For this purpose the German Society of Biological Psychiatry organizes scientific congresses, meetings and workshops, advises and instructs scientific institutions and medical services and informs the general public on psychiatric disorders, their biological basis and treatment possibilities.
The official publication of the DGBP is European Archives of Psychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience.
