| The Associação Brasileira de Neurologia e Psiquiatria Infantil e Profissões was founded in 1967 as the Associação Brasileira de Neuropsiquiatria Infantil and assumed its current name in 1981.
Objectives:
- Promover o progresso da Neuropsiquiatria Infantil em todos seus aspectos
- Patrocinar, dentro e fora do país a realização de Congressos e Reuniões especializados
- Representar no estrangeiro, a Neuropsiquiatria infantil brasileira junto às sociedades Internacionais congêneres
- Estimular a realização de pesquisas, cursos, seminários regionais atinentes à especialidade
