About AMCHA - Israeli Centers for Holocaust Survivors and the Second Generation is a non-profit organization which since 1987, has been providing support services such as psychotherapy, groups services, support groups, clubs for the aging survivor and volunteer services to homebound survivors. The professional staff of over 120 social workers, therapists and psychologists carries out evaluations and counseling for both individual clients and groups.

About Founded in 1920, the American College Health Association [ACHA] is a national nonprofit organization serving and representing the interests of professionals and students in health and higher education. Its mission is to be the principal advocate and leadership organization for college and university health. The association provides advocacy, education, and services for its members to enhance their ability to improve the health of all students and the campus community.

ACHA currently represents more than 3,200 individuals, including students/consumers, physicians, nurses, health educators, mental health professionals, dental professionals, physical therapists, administrators, and various supporting staff. The membership also includes more than 900 institutions of higher education ranging from small, two-year community colleges to large research universities with multiple campuses.

Through its many publications, programs, and services, ACHA addresses critical issues such as HIV infection and sexually transmitted diseases, alcohol and other drug abuse, vaccine-preventable diseases, student health insurance, health needs of international students and students of color, and other important sensitive issues prevalent in college communities.

About The mission of the American College of Medical Quality is to provide leadership in creating, sustaining and applying a scientifically based infrastructure for the practice of clinical quality improvement. Its objectives are:
  • Educate and provide a forum for health care professionals, government agencies and other regulatory bodies involved in medical quality management
  • Provide a core body of knowledge to health care professionals in the field of medical quality management

ACMQ was founded in 1973 as the American College of Utilization Review Physicians and assumed its current name in 1991. Two thirds of members are active in clinical pracice, with 84 percent being physicians, 9 percent nurses and 7 percent other health care professionals, including lawyers, educators and administrators. It is the medical specialty society recognized by the American Medical Association for practitioners of medical quality management.

The ACMQ publishes the peer-reviewed American Journal of Medical Quality and a monthly newsletter, holds an online forum and has a speakers bureau.
