About The American Association for Medical Chronobiology and Chronotherapeutics [AAMCC] provides an organizational framework for medical scientists, laboratory scientists, and other healthcare professionals including but not exclusively academic and practicing physicians, pharmacists, psychologists, nurses, and veterinarians interested in the medical application of chronobiology and chronotherapeutics.

The primary purpose of the AAMCC is to provide a forum for the exchange and discussion of new findings, methods, and applications in medical chronobiology and chronotherapeutics, and for teaching, education and continuing education of the medical application of chronobiology in conjunction and collaboration with other organizations active in chronobiology and related fields of biology and medicine.

The Association will further the cooperation between scientists and health professionals and health care related industries in the development of a meaningful, effective and cost-effective practice of clinical chronobiology and chronotherapeutics.

About The American Association on Mental Retardation [AAMR] was initially established in 1876 as the Association of Medical Officers of American Institutions for Idiotic and Feebleminded Persons, changed in 1906 to the American Association for the Study of the Feebleminded, and in 1933 to the The American Association on Mental Deficiencies, and adopted its present name in 1997.

AAMR is the oldest and largest interdisciplinary organization of professionals and others concerned about mental retardation and related disabilities. Over 9,500 members in the US and 55 other countries have chosen AAMR as their association.

AAMR's mission is to advance the knowledge and skills of professionals in the field of mental retardation by exchanging information and ideas. AAMR strives to:

  • Enhance the life opportunities of people with mental retardation and their families
  • Promote public policies, research, and services which advance individual choices and human rights
  • Develop human resources and leadership in the field
  • Promote high quality services and supports that enable full community inclusion and participation
  • Promote research and its dissemination and application
  • Advance progressive public policies
