Al-Anon publishes booklets and pamphlets, produces public service announcements for radio and television, cooperates with alcoholism treatment programs in supporting patients' families and friends and provides the public and professionals with information about their services.

The Web site includes "Stat Grand Central" with abundant links and resources.

ACSW serves as the regulatory body for the profession of social work in Alberta.

Objectives:

The ACSW is a member of the Canadian Association of Social Workers and the Association of Social Work Boards.

Objectives:

• Develop, foster and maintain services for persons with drug related problems, those at risk and their families

• Encourage innovative approaches to the understanding of the role played by alcohol and other drugs in our society
• Promote legislation and community and professional attitudes that will contribute to the alleviation of alcohol and other drug problems in our society

The mission of ADPA is to advocate for alcohol and other drug abuse prevention, intervention, and treatment services with appropriate quality and quantity to serve those requiring them.

The membership of ASAP includes coalitions, programs and agencies throughout New York State which provide alcoholism and substance abuse prevention, treatment, research and evaluation and concerned individuals and corporations who wish to support the mission of ASAP.

The Alliance for Children and Families is an international nonprofit association, representing more than 450 child- and family-serving organizations. Alliance members serve more than 5 million individuals annually in more than 2,000 communities, providing services ranging from residential care to domestic abuse prevention and intervention.

AIRS was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1973 to improve access to services for all people through the mechanism of information and referral. AIRS meets this goal through its publications, international training conferences, and I&R clearinghouse. AIRS offers a professional umbrella for all I&R providers in both public and private organizations.

Through its publications and national networking, AIRS promotes the image of I&R and conveys new developments in the field.

Founded in 1979, AMI/FAMI is a non-profit, self-help, volunteer organization comprised of over 1,200 family members and friends of people with such neurobiological disorders as schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder (manic depression) and major depression, as well as people who themselves suffer from mental illness.

AMI of Maryland has 1,700 members in 18 local chapters serving Maryland's 23 counties and Baltimore City. With its statewide toll-free Helpline, it provids information and referrals to appropriate services such as family self-help support groups and mental health services for persons with serious mental illness and their family members.

AMI-Québec is a founding member of the Fédération des familles et amis de la personne atteinte de maladie mentale in Québec and a member of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill in the United States.

A statewide, toll-free Help Line connects families and consumers with experienced staff and family member network. Family support groups are available in 12 communities. Multi-week Journey of Hope educational courses are offered in 8 towns. Staff and volunteers are engaged in local and legislative advocacy. Literature, books, videotape lending library are available.
